We arrived late after a long day of traveling and visiting the Grand Canyon. Check in was easy and the gentleman even held the door for us as we exited the lobby to head to our building. The room was very clean, spacious, and the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of plugs with which to charge our electronic devices. Breakfast was good (typical fare). Check out was fast and staff was pleasant. Overall an excellent experience.
It was nice, although, we turned the air conditioner had a really foul smell. They offered us a new room, but we were already getting settled, so they sent maintenance who cleaned one of the filters, my husband cleaned the other and it smelt better. The maintenance guy said the air conditioner was a new unit but it was very loud the entire night. The TV turned on randomly in the middle of the night, the screen was black but we could here it so we had to unplug the unit, it woke our baby up. The alarm clock wasn't set, the phone was unplugged when we got in. Breakfast: powdered eggs, sausage, very crowded breakfast area but seating outside was nice. The front desk staff was very nice. Only 2 restaurants deliver to this hotel: New China and Pizza Hut (which is across the street.) Only one ice machine in the lobby, but the hotel is small so it wasn't too inconvenient. They have an outdoor pool and spa, small parking lot, limited sidewalks for luggage carts, pet friendly. The trashes throughout the hotel were overflowing in the morning, there was also trash on the ground throughout the property, although the room itself was very clean.
And just so you are prepared, breakfast is "fat and sugar food" only...no fruit and good for you food. But enough sugary and prepared foods to keep the loud and louder kid going all morning
Bad eggs (with egg powder),and salty sausages. Although the heater makes loud noise, we did have a nice sleep. Look like this hotel is new.
Okay hotel. First room we were put in had some crazy static. Couldn't touch a thing without getting shocked. When the front desk was made aware of it they first stated that they had no other rooms available. Once the front desk girl went to check the room and saw how bad it was she decided that there was a room open. Once we got to the new room it wasn't too bad. Pretty clean, beds were okay. A little pricey for what you get though.
Rooms are clean. Nice and comfortable bedding and bed. Breakfast is not good
We made a res for two queens and they asked to put us in a king room...ok...it was a handicap room and I am 5'9" in my stocking feet which required lots of bending for me. Then we are looking to relax and rest after a day at the canyon. Not to happen. Family in the next room with an adjoining door (with no insulation or sound proofing) to ours, had a child that had two sounds...loud and louder with parents that allowed the behavior...there were lots of bumping noises too. We got to sleep after they did but were awakened around 6 am to hearing every word the child and father were saying. I informed the front desk and all I got was "oh, that's too bad".
It appears the place has been updated and then the carpet in the hallway was in dire need of cleaning...?? Food stains, smelly, etc.
