Called to get a quote on an oil change and the guy told me to go elsewhere. Thanks buddy, I'll take my business somewhere else.
I hit a huge pot hole on I 40 which left a big bubble in the sidewall of my tire (driving a Hyundai Sonata). I first went to Sandoval's where they tried to sell me a cheapo Fuzion 50k mile warranty tire for $200 (a total ripoff!). After talking to some locals I learned that Sandoval's is notorious for ripping people off. So they pointed me to JJ's Auto Repair about a mile away. I got to JJ's where they quoted me $118 for a Leufenn 65k mile warranty tire. The price was so fair that I went ahead and replaced both of my front tires which happened to be pretty worn out. All in all I was out in 20 minutes, with two brand new 65k mile warranty tires for $290 (would've cost me $400 at Sandoval's!). Thank you JJ's for operating with integrity - I know it will pay off for you guys in the long run!
Took two minutes to figure out what had baffled others. Drove w/o problems for hours after that and made it home okay.
This nice, family run shop saved our bacon- we were stuck on the side of the I-40 just shy of Williams, our serpentine belt torn to shreds and steam coming out of the hood of our car. The shop sent a mechanic & tow truck to the rescue, brought the car into the shop to diagnose & fix. The water pump had gone out causing the serpentine belt to tear. They fixed it & had us driving back home in good time. Great customer service, & great honest mechanics.
These Guys saved our vacation trip through South West U.S. We got a flat tyre off the junction to Grand Canyon and instead of waiting Herz coming all the way from Phoenix.... We managed to get the car towed at 7pm, tyre repaired next morning and get back on track to our tight schedule! Thanks again!
Driving my old RV across I-40 and it suddenly sputtered to a stop, twice in one day. Second time I called for a tow truck, but found it would start again. The tow truck followed me to an Auto RV repair place where we spent the night. Called people, had the mechanic check it out and various ideas and repairs were suggested. Stopped at JSS. James heard my story listened to my fuel pump (?), said it was fine, then said the rapid climb in altitude and the tight gas cap were the problems. The vehicle was trying too hard to suck the fuel in. Loosen the cap and you should do okay. No charge for that.
